Back on Track:

Maria Menounos, Take Action Hollywood, Nike and the LA84 Foundation unveiled a renovated running track at Santa Monica High School to benefit the student body and Santa Monica running community. The track is dedicated to the school in the name of Maria Menounos, TV personality and co-founder of Take Action Hollywood, a charity whose mission is to utilize the power of the entertainment industry as well as the medium of production to educate, empower and raise social awareness. Santa Monica High School’s newly refurbished track incorporates Nike Grind, a material generated from the recycling of manufacturing scrap and worn-out athletic shoes through Nike’s corporate responsibility program, Reuse-a-Shoe.
