Two Injured – One Airlifted in Critical Condition – PCH Accidents Continue

The day before the city of Malibu took the step of extending the declaration of a local emergency meant to address safety on Pacific Coast Highway, there was another serious accident on PCH at Los Flores Canyon, as reported by a press release on the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station Facebook.
Around 8:40 p.m., there was a collision involving three vehicles occurred in front of Duke’s restaurant on PCH in Malibu Two individuals were injured in the incident. One person, in critical condition with life-threatening injuries, was airlifted from the scene, while the other individual sustained minor injuries, as reported by ABC 7. Nothing further is known about the injured victims at this time.
The accident caused the LASD to close the eastbound lanes of PCH at Las Flores Cyn due to an overturned vehicle around 9:28 p.m. Las Flores Canyon is just to the east of the area of PCH known as “Dead Man’s Curve.”
In December, an announcement was made that Cal-Trans would be working on safety improvements on PCH, and at the time, 58 people had lost their lives on PCH in the last decade, including the four Pepperdine sorority members who died last year.
