John Muir Holds International Celebration:

The John Muir School will hold its second annual fundraiser on Saturday, November 19,

The international celebration will take place from noon to 3 p.m. outdoors on the school campus and in the auditorium, on Ocean Park Boulevard between Fifth and Sixth Streets.

It will feature ethnic foods from local restaurants, performances by dancers, singers and musicians, a raffle of items exemplifying the school’s diversity, children’s games and arts and crafts, and an international Pen Pals signup.

The organizers are encouraging people to wear the traditional clothing of their native culture.Admission is free. Ticket prices are $1 to $5.
