The Event Includes Yoga Sessions Followed by a Puppy Adoption

The largest festival for dogs in North America, The Day of the Dog, is set to take over Main Street in Santa Monica on Saturday, September 9, from Noon to 5 p.m.

The free, annual festival will include an 80-foot pool party for dogs featuring music from DJ Scotty Boy and VIP Canine Cabanas, a Superhero-Themed Photo Booth complete with capes, masks, and a wind machine, a brunch for dogs with a cowboy-chic theme, a running of the bulls for French bulldogs, Corgi Races, the Best in Show Snaggletooth Showcase, the Doque Fashion Show, Ball Pit Heaven, Holistic Pawpup, a free surf machine experience and a 360 photo booth

Moreover, the day includes yoga sessions with adoptable puppies, where each 30-minute class of gentle yoga incorporates interactions with puppies and concludes with a post-event puppy adoption. Yoga classes are priced at $20, and early registration is recommended.

The event also serves as a fundraiser for the Just Love Animals Society, a non-profit organization with a focus on animal welfare. The afternoon will feature activities for dogs and an opportunity for dog enthusiasts to connect, meet local and national companies, and explore products from California pet exhibitors.

Over the past decade, the annual festival has expanded to include locations such as Calgary, Victoria, Vancouver, Santa Monica, San Diego, San Francisco, and Scottsdale, Arizona. It has garnered recognition as “The Social Event of The Year for Dogs and Their People” by Global Television, ABC, and NBC. Day of The Dog represents an incredible event for all dog enthusiasts eager to showcase their beloved canine companions.”
