Man In 40s Found Dead On Metro Bus In Santa Monica:

A man in his 40s was pronounced dead on Thursday morning after being found unresponsive on a Metro bus in Santa Monica, but the fatality appeared to be from natural causes.

The man was found when the bus reached the end of its route at Ocean Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard about 4:30 a.m., sheriff’s Transit Services Bureau spokesman Ramon Montenegro said.

Firefighters responded and pronounced the man dead at 5:17 p.m., he said.

The death appeared to be from natural causes, but the cause will be determined by the coroner’s office, Montenegro said.
