New Santa Monica Restaurant Seasons 52 Names Its New Managing Partner:

Fresh grill and wine bar restaurant Seasons 52 has announced that Robert Mitchell will be the managing partner for Seasons 52 Santa Monica at Palisades Promenade, which is opening March 28, 2013, in the heart of thriving Downtown Santa Monica.

“Robert has successfully held various corporate training and executive chef partner positions at Seasons 52 over the last seven years, so we know what an excellent manager, leader and mentor he is,” said Rikin Lakhani, director of West Coast operations for Seasons 52. He added, “We are very pleased that he will be a part of the team at our Santa Monica location, the fourth Seasons 52 of our collection in Southern California.”

Mitchell has over 16 years of experience in the restaurant industry serving as chef and managing operations at casual and fine dining establishments since his 1997 graduation with an associate of science in culinary arts degree from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y.

He comes to Santa Monica from his most recent position with Seasons 52 as executive chef partner at Seasons 52 Garden City, N.Y. Prior to his post in New York, Mitchell assisted the Seasons 52 corporate offices by lending opening support and training for new executive chefs and managing partners. He started as executive chef partner at Seasons 52 Palm Beach Garden and then at Seasons 52 Tampa, both in Florida. Previous to these positions, he was head chef and operations manager at Marks at the Park restaurant in Boca Raton, Fla., and worked as a chef at Café Maxx in Pompano Beach, Fla.

In addition to his degree from the CIA, Mitchell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business from State University of New York in Buffalo.
