Pickleball Pop Up Coming to Third Street Promenade

The Pop up Location Will Have Three Full Sized Courts

By Zach Armstrong

Picklepop.co, a pickleball concept founded by a celebrity couple, announced on Instagram that it’s bringing West L.A.’s first indoor pickleball facility complete with a bar and lounge area later this summer to the Santa Monica Third Street Promenade.

The pop up location will have three full sized PPA approved pickleball courts, according to the social media post by @picklepop.co. Programming will include open bookings, open play, and league play. Private events can also be accommodated.

“West LA is our home. We love our community and want to bring better access to a sport that everyone from professional athletes to Barbie’s have grown to love.” the post read.

Picklepop.co is a concept by fashion celebrity Erin Robertson and sports celebrity Stephanie McCaffrey. McCaffrey, a former professional soccer player, pursued an MBA at the Wharton School of Business and worked for Goldman Sachs as a full-time associate. She told Forbes in 2021 that her biggest goal is to help LGBT people and women in finance.
