A Malibu Search and Rescue team on Wednesday located the body of a man near a car found 900 feet below Kanan Dume Road near Newton Canyon Road.
The car was first reported to the Malibu Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station Tuesday shortly before 5 p.m., said Lt. Jennifer Barsh.
Barsh said that a full-fledged search didn’t resume until today.
According to Lt. John Lecrivain, a man’s body was found near the wreckage of the car and the coroner’s office and sheriff’s homicide detectives were investigating the case.
