A registered sex offender accused of sexually assaulting multiple women during a hours-long spree in the San Fernando Valley has turned himself in and is in custody, Los Angeles police said.11

Damian Denzell Robinson, 29, surrendered April 22 at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lancaster Station, according to an LAPD update. He faces charges including felony sexual battery and other sex offenses.

The incidents occurred April 19, 2026, in the Northridge area, with police linking Robinson to at least six attacks on women, several of them elderly, over roughly six hours. Detectives identified him through surveillance video and released his booking photo while seeking additional possible victims.10

The first reported assault happened around 9:10 a.m. near Devonshire Street and Balboa Boulevard, when a suspect approached an elderly woman inside a business, pulled down her pants, grabbed her and sexually assaulted her before fleeing on foot.

About 45 minutes later, near Forbes Avenue and Calahan Street, the suspect allegedly tried to pull down another elderly woman’s pants. She resisted by holding onto her waistband and confronting him, and he fled.

Around 10 a.m. near Lassen Street and Encino Avenue, a woman was grabbed and sexually assaulted from behind as the suspect recorded the incident on his cellphone.

At 11:15 a.m. inside a food market near Vanowen Street and Corbin Avenue, the suspect approached another woman from behind, grabbed her and sexually assaulted her before fleeing.

Around 12:37 p.m. inside another food market near Mason Avenue and Sherman Way, the suspect pulled down a woman’s pants and underwear while recording her on his phone.

The final reported incident occurred at 3:20 p.m. inside a retail store restroom near Corbin Avenue and Nordhoff Street, where the suspect was seen using his cellphone to record a woman from under the stall before fleeing.

Robinson has a prior conviction for indecent exposure and lewd conduct that requires him to register as a sex offender. He is described as a 29-year-old Black male, 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds. At the time of the incidents, he was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, white shirt, tan pants, blue-and-white Nike shoes and eyeglasses.

Devonshire Area detectives believe Robinson may be responsible for additional unreported assaults and are urging any other victims to contact police. Anyone with information about the case is asked to reach out to the LAPD.
