Santa Monica’s nightlife will transform into a haunted playground this Halloween weekend as hundreds of costumed revelers are expected to take part in a two-day bar crawl spanning the city’s most popular venues.
The annual “Crawl With Us” Halloween Bar Crawl is set for Friday, Oct. 31, and Saturday, Nov. 1, from 4 p.m. to midnight. Participants will make their way through at least five downtown bars, including Barney’s Beanery, Britannia Pub, Cabo Cantina, Jameson’s Irish Pub, Lanea, and the Santa Monica Whaler.
Organizers say the event will include themed cocktails, costume contests, and an after-party each night, with no cover charges at participating venues. Tickets include two to three drinks or shots, exclusive food and drink specials, and access to a mid-party and late-night gathering.
Check-in for the crawl runs from 4 to 6 p.m. at Cabo Cantina, located at 1240 Third Street Promenade. Attendees will receive lanyards and badges with drink vouchers that can be redeemed at specific bars throughout the night.
The crawl is part of a nationwide series hosted by Crawl With Us, one of the country’s largest bar crawl and social event organizers. A separate Halloween crawl, “Trick or Drink,” presented by BarCrawlerz, will also take place at participating Santa Monica bars Oct. 31 through Nov. 1, with registration beginning at Britannia Pub on Santa Monica Boulevard.
