Westside Schools Consider First Football:

Two Westside schools that have never met in a varsity football game are considering playing each other in the opening game next season.

St. Monica and Brentwood are ponderring the possibility of playing on “zero week,” the category for games played one week prior to the time when all teams begin.

The game would be played at either Corsair Field or Brentwood.

The only known football meeting between St. Monica and Brentwood was a junior varsity game many years ago.

Next season’s game is only in the discussion stage at this time.
