The author of several other books, Wiggins has combined in her novel the story of photographer Edward S. Curtis, who became famous for his photographs of Native Americans, and the story of a writer-named Marianne Wiggins. She will be reading from, discussing, and signing copies of her book at this event. This year’s luncheon and award ceremony features keynote speakers Sheila Kuehl (outgoing State Senator), and Treepeople Founder Andy Lipkis. Nominees include Bryan Cave LLP, Community Corp of Santa Monica, Fairmont Miramar Hotel, Redbull, Saint John’s Health Center, SMC, and Whole Foods Market.
