Friends of Sunset Park Schedules Annual Meeting:

Arguably Santa Monica’s largest and most active neighborhood organization here and now, Friends of Sunset Park will hold its Annual General Membership Meeting on Saturday, May 28, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, at 4th Street and Ocean Park Boulevard.

All residents of Sunset Park are invited to attend.

Formed in 1989, Friends of Sunset Park (FOSP) is a non-profit all-volunteer city-recognized organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in the Sunset Park area of Santa Monica.

Sunset Park is bordered by Lincoln Boulevard on the west, Pico Boulevard on the north, the east city limits (Centinela), and the south city limits (Dewey and Ozone).

Topics for discussion this year will include the impact on Sunset Park of the new Santa Monica College Bundy/Airport Campus, the update of the city’s General Plan, reducing noise and fumes from Santa Monica Airport, desired improvements on Lincoln, Ocean Park, and Pico Boulevard, and the process for setting up Neighborhood Watch programs. For more information, check the FOSP website at www.friendsofsunsetpark.org or phone 358-7117.
