One More Correction and Apology:

It shouldn’t surprise anyone to learn that we have misspelled another name.

Eleanor Blumenberg herself put it neatly: “While my comments as chair of the Social Services Commission were reported accurately, for the record, my name is not spelled Bloomberg.”

If we were given to dissembling (or in George W. Bush’s parlance disassembling), we’d say we mistook her for the wife of the mayor of New York, but we aren’t, and we didn’t. We simply flubbed it. But at least we didn’t misquote Ms. Blumenberg, which would have been marginally worse.

Our apologies to Ms. Blumenberg and our readers.
