The second annual Topanga Film festival will take place on Saturday, August 20, at the ballfield at the Topanga Community House.
Over 100 entries from around the world were received. According to the organizers, the films to be shown Saturday night demonstrate “a wide range of possibilities and approaches to story telling. It is the uniqueness of each filmmaker’s contribution that inspires us.”
Documentary, experimental, animation and dramatic narrative films, running from one to 24 minutes, are scheduled to be shown.
There will be a bar, food and international DJ’s, as well as a full moon on Saturday night in Topanga, and the second annual Coveted Coyote Award winner will be announced.
As limited regular seating is available, people are advised to bring blankets or low beach chairs and jackets or sweaters.
The ball field is located at 1440 North Topanga Canyon Boulevard. The reception is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the screenings will start at 8:30. Tickets are $20.Go to www.topangafilmfestival.com for tickets, program and panel of judges.
