The Santa Monica Malibu Unified School District Board of Education was wrong to delete a long-standing and significant clause in its charge to the District Advisory Committees. Then, in the face of protests from the community, it reversed direction and restored the passage. We commend the Board for admitting its mistake and correcting it.
