Beginning April 20 and going through May 5, Palisades Charter High School’s EAST class will be holding a collection drive for New Eyes for the Needy, an organization dedicated to giving eyeglasses to people in the United States and over 35 different countries. Every year, New Eyes provides approximately 350,000 people with recycled eyeglasses; oftentimes they are the only glasses a person will ever own.
The class will be collecting eyeglasses, as well as hearing aids and jewelry, throughout Santa Monica and the Palisades. For exact collection sites and additional information, email Raphael at eyesfortheneedy@ yahoo.com
