PACMA on Road to Completion:

Construction on SMC’s long-awaited Performing Arts Center and Music Academy (PACMA) is now halfway completed.

To mark this occasion, PACMA threw a luncheon that featured child prodigy Mark Yu, who played piano for the crowd at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel. Also on hand were SMC President Dr. Chui L. Tsang; Eric Owens, currently in the Los Angeles Opera’s “Grendel”; Andy Stern, Mayor of Malibu; and PACMA Director, Dale Franzen.

PACMA is being built on Santa Monica Blvd. at 11th St, and should be up and running in the fall of 2007.
