Santa Monica Softball Names All-Star Teams:

All-Star teams who will compete through the summer have been chosen in the various divisions of Santa Monica Softball.

The All-Stars for eight years and under and 10 and under are listed here, while the all-stars in older divisions will be revealed in upcoming issues.

Tournaments are planned in all divisions as Santa Monica has joined the American Softball Association (ASA). In its first ASA competition Santa Monica entered teams in five divisions on Memorial Day weekend in West Covina. The Santa Monica team in eight years and under fared the best, placing second.

Santa Monica will compete on June 24 in Downey, in Lancaster July 8, in Norco July 22 and in the ASA national championship event July 31.

The 8 and Under Santa Monica All-Stars are Jordan Breuer, Caitlin Cavanaugh, Carly Condon, Haily Ennis, Dylan Gee, Kiki Huneg, Whitney Jones, Sydney Kasny, Ruby Malamed, Annie Quinn, Ashley Rukuljk, Samantha Southerland.

The 10 and Under Santa Monica All-Stars are Miranda Andrew, Riley Angarella, Devon Bankler-Jukes, Jackie Carr, Hayley Hodson, Jackie Hom, Madelin Kaplan, Josephine Kremer, Christine Maddox, Natalie Montelongo, Erin Samuel and Molly Steinberg.

Last Saturday a spring season tournament was held at Memorial Park.

Spring season division champions were – 8 and Under: Green Eggs With Ham; 10 and Under: Mean Green Hitting Machine; 12 and Under: Rrrredd.

On Saturday, Green Eggs won the 8 and Under Tournament, Sunami beat Wildberries twice to win the 10 and Under, Green Monkies won the 12 and Under and Rrredd prevailed in their division.
