Santa Monica kicked off its 22nd Annual Twilight Dance Series on the Santa Monica Pier with a reception at Mariasol’s restaurant on the Pier. The impressive turnout included Councilmembers Pam O’Connor, Kevin McKeown, Ken Genser and Richard Bloom; former mayor Mike Feinstein; Arts Commissioner Elena Allen; Landmarks Commission Chair Roger Genser; and Executive Director of Pier Restoration, Ben Franz-Knight. Grammy winner Poncho Sanchez filled the pier with his Afro-Cuban jazz sound as salsa dancers twirled on the dance floor. This fun series continues every Thursday through August 31.
