SMC’s Okuno Wins BAFTA Student Film Award:

Robbit, an animated short made by Yukio Okuno when he was a Santa Monica College student, was named Runner Up in the prestigious British Academy of Film & Television Arts’ 2006 Student Film Awards.

Okuno was the only winner from SMC; other winners came from AFI, USC and the Los Angeles Film School.

Robbit runs under three minutes, and is an animated love story. Okuno made the film last year.
