Local Santa Monica artist Peter Tigler, whose work has appeared at the Getty, the Skirball and the Natural History Museum, created a mural on the wall of the playground at PS#1 on 12th St. on Saturday, August 26. Tigler’s project (his 20th community project) used his characteristic color by numbers plan, and parents and children painted with fingers on the mural which is designed to capture the spirit of discovery at PS#1.
