Venice H.S. Student Heads to Sacramento:

Noah Klein is the first Venice High School student to have won the Foundation of the State Bar of California’s essay contest open to high school students throughout the state.

Klein’s winning essay was “The Right to a Fair Trial.” The Venice High School senior is only one of two Los Angeles-area students chosen for the approximately 31-student program. He will be heading to Sacramento for a week, where he will have an in-depth look at the judicial system. Afterwards, he will be eligible for a $1,500 scholarship towards the college of his choice.

Seventeen-year-old Klein has run in 10 L.A. Marathons. Last year, he took a month off from school to visit the South as a storyteller for kids with literacy problems. After his performances, many children were inspired to tell their own stories.
