Chamber of Commerce Makes Education Endorsements:

The Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce has endorsed Emily Bloomfield, Shane McLoud, Kelly Pye and Barry Snell in the race for School District Board, and Tom Donner, Nancy Greenstein and Louise Jaffe in the College District Board election.

After a recent series of interviews, the chamber decided to endorse the “candidates we feel are leaders in the community, have a strong interest in schools and would help schools improve financially and academically.” According to John Bohn, Chairman of the Board for the Chamber, “Providing for the schools means making sure they have the leadership they need to succeed. All of the candidates we have endorsed will serve this community well.”

Six candidates are running for four seats on the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District Board in the November 7 election. There are also six candidates for four seats on the Santa Monica College Board in that election.
