St. Monica Loses League Opener:

After St. Monica lost all of its non-league games, several against larger schools, Coach Chris Caminiti was hoping for better results when the Mariners launched their Camino Real League schedule.

However, it didn’t happen in the first league game as St. Monica gave up nearly 400 rushing yards in a 38-14 loss to Mary Star. The game, played at St. Bernard High, was St. Monica’s homecoming.

Mary Star has a 2-4 record. St. Monica is 0-6.

On Friday, October 20, St. Monica will play a non-league game against Santa Clara.
