Edwards Leads Brentwood Girls to Basketball Victory:

Lauren Edwards scored 19 points and had 12 rebounds as the Brentwood girls’ basketball team defeated Bishop Montgomery, 52-36, in a non-league game.

Jasmine Duckworth contributed 17 points as Brentwood’s record became 7-5.

Last season Brentwood advanced to the CIF Finals, where it lost to Windward.

In boys’ basketball, Palisades lost to Dos Pueblos 70-59, defeated Corona del Mar, 61-51, and lost to Santa Barbara, 71-59. The Dolphins will enter Western League play with an 8-5 record.

Venice defeated Agoura, 53-52, and lost to West Torrance, 55-45, bringing its record to 4-11.
