The Santa Monica High wrestling team earned seventh place out of 50 schools in the annual CIF meet.
Yusaf Syed finished first in his weight class, Collin Rothschild second, Lev Darkhovsky third and Sami Syed also third.
Yusaf Syed then finished first in the CIF masters meet to qualify for statewide competition.
Sophomore Anthony Miceli of Brentwood finished second in his weight class in the Mission League meet.
Officers will be conducting a specialized Motorcycle Safety Enforcement Operation in an effort to lower deaths and injuries stemming from motorcycle collisions. Officers will be looking for various violations made by drivers and riders that can lead to motorcycle crashes. They will be cracking down on both those operating regular vehicles and motorcycles that are violating traffic safety laws.
