A week ago, former Santa Monica High star Cody Decker had the biggest day of his two-year UCLA baseball career with a grand slam home run and five RBI against Pacific.
Decker remained hot Saturday, March 31, by hitting two home runs and driving in six runs in a victory at Stanford.
The game was scoreless in the third inning when Decker hit a three-run homer over the left field fence.
Decker’s streak began after he attended a game involving his former Viking teammates. He was present when Samohi defeated Long Beach Poly on March 24. His heroics led to UCLA winning a series at Stanford for the first time since 1997.
