Dan Zanes and Friends (for kids), April 21, 11am/2pm

Former Del Fuegos frontman and roots rocker Dan Zanes pretty much reinvented himself when he released the acclaimed album, Rocket Ship Beach. While aimed at kids, Zanes’ sound and style are cool enough to have attracted cameos from respected artists such as Lou Reed, Bob Weir, Deborah Harry, Sheryl Crow, Suzanne Vega and Amy Mann. That said, it’s likely to be music mom and dad can dig on even when the young ones are off playing video games. Zanes crafts a mixture of country, folk and standards that emphasize how rewarding it can be to enjoy music together, as a family.
