Brentwood Eliminated By Temple City, 5-3:

The Brentwood School baseball team won its second round game in the CIF baseball playoffs by defeating Sultana of Hesperia, 3-2, on Tuesday, May 22.

         However, Brentwood was then eliminated by Temple City, 5-3, on Friday, May 25 in a game played at Brentwood.

         Brentwood finished the season with a 19-5 record.

         Against Sultana, the Eagles began the bottom of the seventh inning with a 2-1 deficit but had a two-run, game-winning hit from junior Jered Talia.

         Jeff Gleischman earned the win by pitching a complete game.         The situation was reversed against Temple City as Brentwood had the early lead this time, a 2-0 advantage. Temple City scored four runs in the fifth inning to reach the division semifinals.
