SMC Basketball Star to Put on Exhibition:

Noah Gottlieb, Santa Monica College’s all-Western State Conference guard, will attempt to make 100 free throws in Corsair Pavilion Saturday, June 2, beginning at 2 p.m. in a charitable venture.

Gottlieb, who will play for the United States in the European Maccabiah Games in Rome in July, hopes to raise money for Maccabi USA, which strengthens Jewish bonding through athletic competition.

Contributions will be sought from spectators based on how many free throws Gottlieb makes.

Last season, Gottlieb made nearly 80 percent of his free throws for the Corsairs. He came to SMC from Venice High.
