Peters, Kinsey Earn All-CIF Recognition:

Two Westside softball stars have been named to the all-CIF second team in their respective divisions.

Senior Hannah Rose-Peters of Santa Monica High was chosen as an infielder rather than a pitcher in Division 3. She was outstanding in both areas, leading the Ocean League champion Vikings with a .476 batting average and compiling a 1.65 ERA in 109 innings.

Junior Logan Kinsey of Brentwood was recognized as a pitcher in Division 6. She struck out 100 batters and walked only 25 in 106 innings during her second year back following open-heart surgery.         Kinsey suffered a broken finger diving into first base in her final game of the season, but is expected to lead the Eagles again next season.
