Santa Monica Legion Team Wins First Six Games:

The Santa Monica American Legion baseball team, comprised primarily of Santa Monica High players, is off to a 6-0 start this summer.

The team is coached by Chris Brennan, a Samohi assistant. Samohi head coach Kevin Brockway, who has guided the Legion team the last two years, is attending every game and monitoring the players’ progress.

The roster includes players who were seniors at Samohi during the recently-concluded season, returning players and two players from New Roads, Alex Vibiano and Adam Williams.

The roster includes Samohi graduates Joe McGrew, Dylan Early, Rayvelle Holsome and Bryan Eyler and returnees Zach Rodriguez, Skylar Pascal, Alex Kovacs and Nick Montanari.

Games are played at Jackie Robinson Stadium and Samohi.

Two other returning Samohi players, Tyler Skaggs and Vince Lawrence, are playing for another summer team, North Venice.
