Palisades Has New Coach, Young Team:

The changes in the Palisades High football program this season will be a new coach and a renovated field.

The Dolphins have begun practice elsewhere on campus. They’re scheduled to host Santa Monica September 14, in the second week of the season, but discussions have been held about moving the game to Corsair Field if the Palisades field isn’t ready.

Kelly Loftus will be in his first year as head coach, taking over a team that was 5-6 last season.

There are only a few seniors who’ll play prominently. Although young, the team has good speed.

Michael Latt, who was a backup last season, is the likely starting quarterback but is receiving competition from senior Henry Anderson.         The Dolphins’ opening game will be September 7 at Hollywood. Their league opener on the renovated field will be October 12 against Hamilton.
