Venice Gets Number 3 Playoff Seed:

The Venice High football team has been seeded Number 3 for the LA City Section playoffs, in which the Gondoliers will attempt to win the championship for the first time in school history.

Defending champion Birmingham was seeded first, followed by Carson. Crenshaw was fourth.

Venice became the Western League champion by defeating Fairfax Friday, November 9, improving its overall record to 9-1.

 The playoffs were scheduled to begin Thursday, November 15. Venice had a 7 p.m. home game against Locke (3-7), the No. 14 seed.
