The Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. Westside Coalition is presenting several events in conjunction with the civil rights leader’s birthday. On Sunday, there will be a commemorative concert with the Santa Monica Symphony, conducted by Allan Robert Gross, with violinist Kaila Potts and narration by LA County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky. On Monday, the Coalition presents the 23rd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration with keynote address speakers Dr. Firuz Kazemzadeh and Dr. Wilma Ellis, both of whom have been involved in the defense of human rights. Following later in the morning will be a Community Involvement Fair.
