Positive news. The City Managers Office called and a Treesavers-requested meeting has been confirmed for April 21 with City Manager Lamont Ewell and Mayor Herb Katz to meet with a few Treesavers representatives. That is the day before Earth Day and is environmentalist John Muir’s birthday. Let’s continue emailing, petitioning, and gathering even more Treesavers support. A positive tree-friendly and Santa Monica-friendly win-win solution might hopefully be at hand. And let’s remember as Earth Day approaches that Earth Day is every day.
