Baseball Roundup:

New Roads lost a CIF playoff wildcard game to Chadwick, 7-6 and completed its season with a 9-10 record.

The Jaguars’ leading hitter was Eric Scott at .444, followed by Alex Vibiano at .409 and Charlie Paull at .400.

Brentwood was eliminated fron the CIF playoffs by Bishop Diego of Santa Barbara, 7-5 and finished with a 14-10 record.

Jared Talla was the Eagles’ leading hitter (.568). Ben Oliva batted .436.

Venice High concluded its baseball season with a 4-3 Western League loss to Westchester. The Gondoliers were 11-18 overall, including 8-7 in league games.

Scotty Takade was Venice’s leading hitter at .500. Zack Mandell’s pitching record was 7-4.
