A unique evening of entertainment from the East. Filipino music group Kayamanan Ng Lahi was formed in 1990 and draws upon cultural research to create a contemporary act of Filipino music and dance. Pasadena-based Kodama Taiko performs taiko (Japanese percussion), including the Mochitsuki performance, which combines the rice pounding ritual with the sounds of taiko.
