Softball Roundup:

Venice High, which finished second to Westchester in the Western League, won one LA City Section playoff game but then was eliminated.

Venice defeated Marshall, 6-4 in the first round but then lost to Sylmar, 7-0.

The Gondoliers’ final record was 18-5, including 10-2 in league games.

Danielle Mestas batted .548 and had a 16-4 pitching record. Jasmine McNeal hit .490, Michelle Aver .452 and Georgie Dominguez .425.

Jamie Kenyon’s pitching record was 2-0.

Palisades High, the Western League’s third place team, lost in the first playoff round to San Pedro, 13-0.

The Dolphins finished 12-7, including 8-4 in league play.

St. Monica completed its regular season with a 10-11 record, including 4-4 in league games and was hopeful of receiving a playoff berth.

Kiana Dotson hit .407, followed by Haleigh Pellicer (.387), Kyra Sherrin (.346) and Danielle Curren (.340).

Crossroads is 9-4, including 4-3 in the Alpha League with one game remaining.

After defeating Marshall, 6-2, the Roadrunners lost to Campbell Hall, 3-2.

Brentwood slumped in the final 10 games of the season, leaving the Eagles with an overall 5-14 record, including 1-7 in the Alpha League.

Kelsey Grogan was Brentwood’s lesding hitter with a .424 average.

New Roads completed a 2-5 season with an 8-1 loss to Rolling Hills Prep. The Jaguars were 1-4 in the Harbor League.
