Pacific Hills Boys Edge Crossroads:

There are several outstanding big men in Westside high school basketball this season, and college recruiters have noticed.

In last week’s edition of The Mirror, Crossroads’ 6-foot-9 Conrad Liebowitz and 6-8 Solomon Hainna were featured following an easy win over New Roads. Neither has made a college decision yet but Hawaii, Pepperdine, Brown and Lafayette are among the schools they’re considering. Crossroads then played Pacific Hills and lost a non-league, 49-45. Crossroads held down a team averaging 70 points a game in the close defeat.

Pacific Hills has 6-foot-8 Alex Osborne, who reportedly has USC high on his list.

Nearby Windward has 6-foot-10 Anthony Stover, who has signed with UCLA. He is one of several big men in Coach Ben Howland’s latest highly regarded recruiting class.
