The CIF playoffs in baseball and softball will begin in the week beginning May 18.
On Tuesday Santa Monica High will host Knight High from the Lancaster area at 3:15 — the Vikings getting the home field as a reward for winning a one-game playoff that placed them third in the Ocean League.
Knight is the fourth place team from the Golden League. The winner will have its next game on Friday.
The Santa Monica High softball team, Ocean League champion, will be home Thursday at 3:15 against the winner of a wild card game.
St. Monica’s baseball team, champion of the Camino Real league, will be home Friday (Marine Park) against Aquinas, the second place team from the Christian League.
The Mariners’ softball team will play at Viewpoint, the Liberty League champion, Thursday.
The Crossroads baseball team, which finished second in the Delphic League, will have an opening Division 6 game against Academy, the second place team from the Agape League.
Pacifica Christian of Santa Monica, which is fielding a baseball team for the first time, won the Mulholland League and will play Maricopa, a third place team, in Division 7.
