The opening game of the 2009-2010 basketball season for the Santa Monica College women will be September 7 at College Of The Sequoias with a 2 p.m. tipoff.
Coach Lydia Strong’s team won the Western State Conference in 2007-2008 and finished third last season with a 7-5 conference record.In conference play the starting times alternate with the men each year. In the coming season the women will play the first game at 5 p.m., followed by the mens’ game at 7.
