Crossroads Wins First Three Baseball Games:

With two more victories last week the Crossrosds baseball team co-coached by Matt Amido and Pat Armstrong is off to a 3-0 record this season.

Crossroads defeated Milken, the top-rated team in CIF Division 7, 10-5. Then it routed Beverly Hills of the Ocean League, 11-1.

Holden Miller made his second successful start against Milken and freshman third baseman Brandon Scott pitched the final two innings.

Jake Berg and Josh Flyer have led the offense.

Crossroads will play at Oakwood March 16 and at Brentwood March 19. It has a Friday night, April 9 non-league game scheduled at home (Clover Park) against Santa Monica.

Armstrong praised Samohi coach Sheldon Philip-Guide for agreeing to the game.

“We have a mutual interest in building up high school baseball on the Westside,” he said.
