Fifth Annual Santa Monica Classic:

This weekend, more than 4,000 people will participate in the 10K/5K running event that raises money and awareness for Heal the Bay, an organization that keeps coastal waters safe and clean in Southern California. On Sunday, May 16 runners will enjoy spectacular 5k and 10k courses that travel up Main St, Ocean Avenue and San Vicente before finishing at the Santa Monica Pier.

Event amenities and activities include an environmentally themed expo, high-quality technical running shirt, Heal the Bay Touch Tanks, Pinkberry sampling, Reebok’s Re-tone Tour, MyFM’s DJ booth and a interactive website featuring streaming video, photos and training programs.

WHEN: Sunday, May 16th, 2010, 5K @ 7:30 a.m., 10K @ 8:00 a.m.

WHERE: Ocean Park and Barnard Way, Santa Monica, CA (START) The Santa Monica Pier (FINISH)

EVENT PRODUCERS: The Santa Monica Classic is owned and managed by LA Marathon LLC. The event staff also manages the Honda LA Marathon presented by K-Swiss and its affiliated events.
