Vikings Softball Dominates:

It’s been nearly a month since the Santa Monica Vikings girls’ softball team saw the sixth inning in conference play.

The Vikings extended their dominance of the diamond and finished conference play with a pair of games that both ended after five innings. On May 11, the Vikings opened up against the Morningside Monarchs with eleven runs in the first inning, before going on to win 20-1. Hayley Condon lead the way with a homerun and three RBIs.

Two days later on May 13, the girls had a repeat performance, shutting down the Culver City Centaurs 15-0, again in five innings, to close the regular season on a strong note. Kaile Nakao notched a homerun and Four RBIs in Thursday’s outing.

The Vikings enter the playoffs having won all their conference games in May in five innings. They ended the season on a 15-game win streak, and look to carry that success into the post season.
