Crossroads Announces New Girls Basketball Coach: Former assistant coach steps up

The Crossroads Roadrunners’ girls basketball team has a new head coach.

Christine Smith will take over for departing coach Malek Abdul-Mansour, Crossroads athletic director Chuck Ice said.

For Smith, becoming coach is a way of coming full circle.

Smith, a 2002 Crossroads graduate, played for four years at Boston College until 2006, and coached at the middle school level out of college. She was the assistant coach for the girls varsity team last year.
