Former Lakers point guard Jordan Farmar, who signed with the New Jersey Nets in the off-season, will host his third annual basketball camp, Hoop Farm, at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion Aug. 16-19.
Hoop Farm 2010 will take place 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day and will feature basketball instruction, special NBA guests, as well as introduce the participants to the green movement through eco-friendly partners and a presentation from the Alliance for Climate Education, according to Farmar’s representative Ted Yeschin of the Wasserman Media Group. Campers will also experience daily yoga sessions and gain lessons on good eating habits from a sports nutritionist.
Boys and girls ages 8-16 can participate in the camp. Cost is $399 per camper with all proceeds going to the Jordan Farmar Foundation.
