On August 1, 2010 at 8:03 a.m., officers responded to 1905 Pico Boulevard (The Manor) regarding an unknown trouble call.
Upon arrival, officers located a deceased victim, who was a white, 61-year-old female and a resident of The Manor. The preliminary investigation of the cause of death is a stabbing.
The suspect, Rigoberto Ruiz, a 55-year-old Hispanic male and a resident of an affiliated facility in the 2000 block of Pico Boulevard, was arrested at the scene without incident. Ruiz was booked for murder and probation violation. He is not eligible for bail.
