Alert: Police Blotter:

Rubbed the Wrong Way

On Thursday, September 9, at 5:55 p.m., officers conducted an undercover operation at the Japanese Health Therapy, located on the 2800 block of Pico Boulevard because they had received a large number of reports of prostitution, lewd conduct, and various other massage ordinance violations. This operation climaxed with the arrest of a 45-year-old female masseuse of Encino for the charges of prostitution, exposure of her genitals, buttocks or breast while performing a massage, and massaging the genitals of a patron. Her bail is $2,000. A second suspect, a 57-year-old female of Buena Park was arrested for the charge of keeping a house of ill fame. Her bail is $500.

Three For The Price Of Four

On Thursday, September 9, at 9:31 p.m., officers were on a routine patrol in the area of the 200 block of Pico Boulevard when they noticed a vehicle that had been reported stolen from the Walnut Station of the Los Angeles Unified School District. They also noticed that there were four people inside the vehicle.

The cops stopped this car and immediately took custody of the four occupants. The officers questioned these people, and discovered that one of them did not know that the vehicle was stolen. The other three however (an 18-year-old of Rowland Heights, a 24-year-old male from Pomona, and a 32-year-old from Covina), apparently did, and so the cops arrested them. The 18-year-old was charged with possession of burglary tools (bail is $500), the 24-year-old for grand theft auto, possession of burglary tools, and a probation violation (no bail for him), and the 32-year-old for possession of a controlled substance and a warrant for probation violation (no bail for him, either).

Man Bothers Teens

On Friday, September 10, at 6:44 p.m., officers were driving around the area of Lincoln Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard when they were flagged down by a woman who appeared distressed who told them that a man was bothering several teenagers near Ninth Street and Santa Monica Boulevard.

The officers drove up to the location and as they did so they heard a man shout out, ‘******* white haters!” The officers drove toward this guy, and spoke with him. This chap, however, seemed none too impressed by the arrival of the police, and expressed his consternation by being very reluctant to comply with the officers’ directions. This man was also muttering various somewhat indiscernible profanities under his breath. The officers were in the process of searching him for weapons when this guy attempted to break free and escape. The officers directed him to obey their commands, but to no avail, and at one point during this fracas the guy kicked one of the cops in the thigh (that, as we all know, sealed his already rather bleak fate). The officers were able to detain the suspect, a 41-year-old male transient, and arrested him for felony obstruction and probation violation. His bail is $245,000.
